The Candidate of Social Democratic Party ( SDP) for House of Representatives Seat in Chanchaga Federal constituency of Niger State during the 2023 general election, Hon. Isah Barau has called on government at all level to ensure the implementation of good and effective policy frame work for good governance and rapid development.
Hon Isah Barau stated this during a chat with Journalist recently in Minna.
He said the implementation of good policies would go along way to salvage the Nigeria economy which has hitherto suffered a serious setbacks as a result of bad Leadership.
Speaking further, Hon. Isah Barau pointed out that over the years studies have reveal that if all policies formulated in Nigeria were Implemented accordingly, the country would have been on a fast lane of development.
It is however a paradox that most of these policies only exists on paper and never implemented to actualized the objective of such policies.
Although, the Culture of non- implementation of public policies in Nigeria virtually affects all levels of Government but Hon Barau believes that the adminstration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will change the Narration
He however appreciated the recent move by President Tinubu towards reviewing the Treasury Single Account (TSA) which according to him has weakened government institutions and ruined the country’s economy.
Hon. Isah Barau said when TSA was introduced alot of people were thinking the policy would bring an end to corruption which is now on the contrary.
“Several non revenue generating agency which are pivotal to Nigeria economy has suffered a serious setbacks in their operation as a result of inadequate funding but the gradual reviewing of TSA will change the Narration” Hon. Isah Declares..
