NIGER CJ APPROVES TEMPORARY RELOCATION OF LAPAI HIGH COURT TO MAGISTRATE COURT COMPLEX.

The chief Judge of Niger State, Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik has announced the temporary relocation of Lapai High court to the Chief Magistrate court complex in Lapai Local Government Area of the State.

The announcement was contained in a press release signed by the chief Registrar of the State High Court, Hajiya Amina Lamide Musa recently.

The statement further explained that the relocation had become necessary as a result of the deplorable condition of the high court building in Lapai Local Government Area.

Worried by the inhabitable conditions of the court building, Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik swiftly relocated the court to the temporary office of the Lapai Magistrate court complex for speedy administration of justice.

Speaking to Newsmen in Telephone conversation, chief registrar of the State High Court, Hajiya Amina Lamide Musa- Saidu explained that the chief Judge directed the immediate relocation of the High court during an inspection visit to the court.

She explained that arrangements are on ground to commenced the renovation of the court ” But for now the court has to be relocated pending the completion of the renovation of the high court.”

Although chief registrar said, she could not remember when the Lapai High court was built but achievers focus.org gathered that the court was built some nineteen years back and successive leadership of the Judiciary have not done anything to better the situation.
According to the Chief Judge, by this development, members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Minna and Suleja as well as Litigants could file their process in the temporary location of the High court for prompt judicial and administrative action, urging the public to note.
