The Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Niger state chapter, Most. Rev. Dr. Bulus Dauwa Yohanna has on Friday disclosed that death should be received as a destination for every human being.
The Chairman who is also the Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese made this disclosure when he led members of the state executive of CAN to pay a condolence visit on former Governor Muazu Babangida Aliyu over the demise of his mother, Hajiya Jamila Aliyu.
According to Bishop Yohanna who was represented by his Deputy, Revd. Ezekiel Ibrahim “we the entire Christendom sympathize with you the former Governor of Niger state, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu over the loss of your mother.
“As a Body, we join millions of Nigerlites and indeed Nigerians to encourage you to take solace in-the fact that Mama lived a good life and that she will be remembered for all her contributions to humanity.
“As humans, we must accept the fact that, death is a destination we all must arrived at”.
While praying the Almighty God to Grant her eternal rest and grant the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, Bishop Yohanna encouraged the former Governor to accept the demise of his mother as an act of God.
In his response, former Governor Aliyu corroborated the CAN Chairman, saying “truly, since we were born till date, we have been hearing about death, but nobody has died and come back to tell us, this is how the life after is except for the Holy Books of Quran and Bible which assured us of life with our maker.
