The authority of the Confluence State University of Science and Technology, Kogi State has announced a three day Mourning over the killing of its Students by Bandits on Sunday.
This was disclosed by the Schools registrar, Olufunke Hudson on Sunday.
” It is with deep pain that the management of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara hereby declares three days of Mourning over the death of two of our students who were kidnapped on Thursday, May 9 and killed on Saturday, May 25, 2024.
The Registrar of Confluence University pointed out that all activities in the Institution will be held at low- key from May 27 to Wednesday May 29, 2024 in memory of the Students.
The Commissioner of Police in Kogi State, Bertrand Onuoha had earlier confirmed the killing of the two students.
” The management shares in the pains of the Parents, Family and Colleagues of our dearly beloved deceased students and we used this medium to console them.”
” The School authority however urged everyone to remain calm, saying the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo is leaving no stone unturned in his efforts to make sure that the students are released safely.”
