Nigerian Correctional Service has appointed Maikudi Adamu as the New helmsman of Niger State Command.
The appointment comes on the heels of a recent prison break which saw over 200 inimates from the centre escape after the prison fence collapse.
The Public Relations Officer of the Correctional Centre, Rabiu Shuaibu made this known on Sunday in a statement which he said the new Comptroller assumed duties on Friday, the 31st day of May 2024.
“A new controller of Correctional, in person of CC Makudi Adamu has been appointed.”
A seasoned Correctional officer who served in many different positions including the officer in charge at several custodial formations across the country.
Until his recent position to Niger State as the 25th Controller of the command ” Maikudi Garba was the controller and principal of Bostal Training Institute Kano.
” He took over the mantle of leadership from his predecessor ” Mohammed Hamish Isa” who was transferred to Zone “B” headquarters in Kaduna as Coordinator CD) Shaibu stated.
