Four Terrorists identified as Nanna Duguri, Momodu Fantami, Abubakar Isani and Zainsani Saida have surrender to troops of sector 2 operation Hadin Kai and hunters on the outskirts of Manok in Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State.
According to Zagazola Makama, a Counter insurgency expert and Security analysts in the lake Chad Region, the terrorists surrendered between June 3 and 5 2024.
Speaking further, he said that the four Terrorists also surrendered two Ak- 47 rifles,. 99 rounds of 7.62 mm special Ammunitions, seven Ak – 47 magazines, two hand grenades, four Baofeng radio, two bandolier one bag, a pair of ISWAP uniform and two motorcycles.
According to report, the terrorists said that they decided to surrender due to severe hunger and hardship they experienced in their camp and consequently their unwillingness to continue with terrorists activities.
However, a young woman was apprehended with over 2000 rounds of ammunition in Zamfara State.
Though the details was still sketchy but she was reportedly planing to supply Ammunitions to bandits in Zamfara.
