Muslims have again been enjoined to imbibe the unwavering faith and willingness for sacrifice.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Binta Mamman made this call in her Sallah Message to all the Muslim Ummah .
Hon Binta Mamman who extended her warmest heartfelt felicitations to all the Muslim Brothers and Sisters in State and across the Country, said Eid-l-Adha, commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) unwavering faith and his willingness to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to Allah (SWT).
According to her, It is a time for sober reflection, devotion, love and sharing blessings with those who are less privileged in the Society.
The Commissioner then called on all to pray for the peace, tranquility and security of our dear State thanking Allah (SWT) for His countless blessings, strengthen bonds of kinship and friendship.
She therefore appealed to all Muslim Ummah to embrace the spirit of forgiveness, compassion, love and tolerance for peaceful coexistence and let the occasion of Eid-l-Adha inspire us to promote peace, unity and understanding in our Society.
