A tragic incident was reported in Jere town, Kaduna State, when a 27 years old man named Abba was killed by Bandits after he had delivered a ransom of #16 million naira and three Motorcycles for the release of Nine kidnapped victims.
According to Zagazola security analyst and counter- insurgency expert, the abduction took place on 16th April, 2024, when Bandits attacked homes in Unguwar Iya, Jere, Kidnapping Nine residents and initially demanded a #30 million ransom.
“The bandits leader after collecting the ransom and bikes, tied the deceased with a rope and opened fire on him ” source revealed.
The rationale behind the killing was said to have been revealed by one of the released victims, explained ” The bandits leader said that they decided to killed Abba for being rude to him during negotiations of the ransoms”.
The death of Abba was said to have caused grief all over the entire community of Jere, Kaduna State.
” The Kaduna State Police Command, is yet to respond to the horrible incident.
