The military are not magician but relies on intelligence it can get from the people, saying the military cannot be everywhere.
The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa disclosed this during the courtesy call on Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State on Monday .
General Musa said that the recent bombing in Gwoza and Pulka towns of the Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, were meant to embarrass the government.
The Defence Chief Staff however assured that the perpetrators of such evil act would not succeed, while calling on Nigerians that the responsibility to secure the country depends on the level at which the residents worked together with security agencies.
“The armed forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and other security agencies agencies are working tirelessly to ensure that there is peace and security in the country. What had happened in Gwoza shows clearly those that mean bad or evil for the country are not relenting. And so, we must continue to work hard.
“If we report as quickly as possible, actions would be taken. Security cannot be everywhere. We are not magicians. We also rely on intelligence we are getting from the people. That is why we call on Nigerians that the responsibility to secure Nigeria depends on all Nigerians working together with security agencies. We are committed to ensure that is achieved,” he added.
