In view of the forthcoming proposed hardship protest, the controversial artiste, Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable, has advised his fans against participating in it.

In a video he posted on social media on Thursday, the singer expressed his reluctance to join any demonstrations, stating that he was currently doing well and preferred to focus on his own success.

He urged his followers to concentrate on their personal endeavors rather than engaging in protests, saying, “It will not end well for anyone who suggests that I should go and sing in a protest.

Why don’t you take the microphone and sing at the protest yourself? If you are hustling and you have work to do, you will not join them to protest. Fight for yourself, and not for Nigeria.

. It is you that is not yet okay. The money is where it is; you are the one who is not working, and you don’t stay loyal to your helper.
People that will help you are also available; you are the one who is not networking. Fight for yourself, so that your career will not turn to a barrier.”

Portable emphasised the importance of self-reliance, stating, “Mind your business like Dangote. Anyone who seeks to trouble me will face the consequences.”

This statement comes amid reports of planned protests by various Nigerian groups, scheduled from August 1 to 10, aimed at addressing the rising cost of living and economic hardships facing the nation.
