Following the #EndBadGovernance protests that escalated into violence in Kano State, a police officer in the State was captured on video openly threatening to kill protesters.
It will be recalled that the unrest in the city saw hoodlums looting both government and private properties, leading to clashes with security forces.
Moreso, at the Kano State Government House, the situation is more severe, prompting the authorities to implement a curfew under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s orders.
Although, some protesters still defied the restrictions and continued to challenge security forces on the streets.
A video circulating online depicts a policeman, speaking in Hausa, threatening protesters amidst the chaos.
The officer is heard saying, “Keep looting. Is it because I did not do what I had done to them? Those throwing stones should not stop. I swear to God, if police officers bleed, I will kill. I swear to God I will kill.”
