The State President of Nigerian Welders and Fitters Union Niger State Chapter, Comr. Raji Abayomi has berated the decision of Niger State Enviromental Protection Agency ( NISEPA) to collect the revenue from its members individually rather than payment in group as an association.

Abayomi stated this during a chat with the Journalist recently in Minna.

.Comr. Raji Abayomi
State President, Nigerian Welders and         Fitters   Union, Niger State Chapter

He said that the collection of revenue on individual basis will create an opportunity for Government Agency to harass, initimidate as well as exploit its members that were unable to pay at and as when due.

The State President then quotes section 40 of the 1999 Constitution which he said recognises the existence of an association that is meant to encourage unity among members “which maybe broken if the Association fails to protect is members.”

Therefore called on the authority of NISEPA to review the decision in the spirit of togetherness.

When contacted the Director of Finance,. Sulaiman Abdullahi Mazakuka speaking on behalf of GM.NISEPA ,maintained that the policy of Revenue payment was in the establishment Gazzets which is based on approved formular not payment by group.

He then advised that there was always room for the Association to plead on behalf of members for an infringement.

Thousands of School bags and Exercise Books procured and distributed by Hon. Abbas to students in Mariga Local Government Area.
