ARAFAT DOOR TO DOOR SUPPORT FARMER MOHAMMED UMAR BAGO’S ADMINISTRATION
Following the constant flooding caused by the release of water from the Lagbo Dam in Cameroon, the administration of President Tinubu has announced plans to build five buffer dams to end the challenges.
The Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency revealed this during an appearance on Channels Television’s Morning Brief program on Thursday.
Speaking further, the Agency’s Director of Operations and Hydrology, Femi Bajide, shared the information, emphasizing the need for immediate action. In addition to the proposed buffer dams, the government also plans to de-silt existing dams and expand the tributaries of the River Niger and River Benue to manage flooding.
