The Vice Chairman Senate committee on Agriculture and Foreign debts, Muhammad Bima Enagi has re- assured the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that the people of Niger South Senatorial District will massively vote for him during the 2023 general election.

The distinguished Senator, who represents the
Niger South Senatorial District, disclosed this during a chat with journalists recently in Minna.
Senator Bima described Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu transformational policies for the Agricultural sector as one of the reason why people of the Niger South Senatorial District are supporting him for the 2023 presidential election.
According to the Distinguished Senator, “the Niger South Senatorial District is an agarian territory capable of producing Rice that would Feed the whole of Africa hence the need for policies that would harnessed its Agricultural potentials” .

” Therefore, having see a Leader like Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu with a sound agricultural policies, the people of Niger South Senatorial District are confident of adequate Government support that would guarantee cultivation of Rice in a commercial quantity. Senator Bima declared.
The distinguished Leader who has sponsored 8 agricultural related Bills however emphasized on the need for massive cultivation of Rice in commercial Quantity in order to carter for deficit of 4millions metric tons which Nigerians spent Billions of Dollars annually to filled through import.
“There is no doubt about it, importation of Rice is deterimental to Nigeria’s economy because it portends a serious danger in terms of foreign exchange earning and also deplets the Nation’s foreign reserves.”
Senator Bima believes that for Nigeria to experience development, the issue of Food security must be settled through massive investment in the agricultural sector especially rice production in which Niger South Senatorial District is having a comparative advantage.
However ” if countries like Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia can produce over 20million metric tons of Rice, am confident that the Agricultural policy of the All Progressives Congress presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will take Nigeria to the level of producing 30 million metric tons of Rice which is far more than 9.1 million metric tons, annual demand by Nigeria. the Distinguished Senator concluded.
