The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Niger State Command, Comdt Adamu Abdullahi Kambra fcai, fiifs, has visited the District Head of Diko to commiserate with him over the tanker explosion that claimed several lives in Dikko junction , Gurara Local Government Area of the State.
The State Commandant who expressed his heartfelt condolences to the District Head and families of the victims said that the NSCDC was in contact with other security agencies during and after the incident.
According to him, the visit was to assess the damages caused by the tanker explosion.
Comdt Kambra who prayed for the quick recovery of the victims inform the District Head that the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi PhD, mni, OFR, has approved the establishment of NSCDC Outpost in Dikko to forestall future occurrence of the incident.
Emphasizing that the outpost will support existing Area Commands and Divisions in enhancing the Corps’ response capabilities in the area.
Comdt. Kambra however appreciated the Commandant General’s continuous support and guidance, as well as Governor Umar Mohammed Bago’s swift response to the victims and his commitment to ensuring safety and security in Niger State.
