Human character denotes some relative universality, displayed in differential quantum according to individual being.
This human phenomenon manifests in the personality of an individual through attitudinal disposition towards others, viewed or perceived as character in the person.
The frequency of good character in a person which is the desirable personality of that individual is restrictive with very rare prevalence among humans, compared with the undesirable character syndrome being the most common thread.
In other words, a cherish able personality of a person is a product of or an aggregate good behaviour while undesirable personality is a negative attribute of another character, generally referred. to as a good or bad person.
Nevertheless, certain attributes are necessary requirements for one to qualify as a good person and these include: Truthfulness, Trustworthiness, Empathy, Benevolence and Endurance.
These attributes, by extension are qualities on which Leadership stands but very rare to be found in the contemporary world.
Today, what are have in our leaders are direct opposites of the qualities enumerated above.

The man was a successful civil servant who had risen to position of Permanent Secretary with a fond of affection of his staff anywhere he went to serve as a Permanent Secretary.
Suddenly the news broke of his choice by the stakeholders committee to lead Agwara LGA as Executive Chairman while he was still serving at the Ministry of Information and Strategy, Niger State.
Amidst tears, overwhelmed prayers made the parting gifts from the staff in painstaking decision.
But very interesting was the scenario and the circumstances that surrounded his call to serve, Iliyasu Zakari was actually part of the stakeholders ad-hoc committee shopping for the right candidate to engage the grass root leadership and had left his office for the meeting that morning.
Astonishingly,. little did my boss know that the crown had fallen on him; the job had been destined for him.
All seats were engage and prayers had been offered for divine guidance at the meeting when the chairman revealed in a triumphant voice , that the search for a leader had ended.
He further disclosed the mutual and unequivocal decision of stakeholders endorsing Iliyasu Zakari who was not, ab-initio a contending candidate in the race for Agwara chairmanship .
In another divine wonders, all the aspirants suddenly obliged the decision as they all, publicly dropped their ambitions and endorsed the God chosen chairman in person of Iliyasu Zakari. Wonderful! this could be in accordance with Hausa adage that says ” cikin dare Daya Allah kan yi bature” literally translated as overnight God creates a white man.
However, would you be surprised?
For Iliyasu, all circumstances involving the less privileged should be greeted with Fairness! probe further, he says, fairness !! again he urges for Fairness!!!
Humanity deserves Empathy, Magnanimity and Benevolence.
Conclusively, Iliyasu Zakari’s happiest moment are when he makes others happy and his darkest moments are when his subordinates are unhappy.
