
Honorable Zakari M. Kuchi, a top contender for the Chairmanship seat of Lavun Local Government Area in Niger State, has unveiled his plans to prioritize agriculture and agricultural development to ensure food security for the people.
Speaking with Journalists in Minna, Hon. Zakari emphasized the need to introduce mechanized farming in line with the New Niger Agenda of Farmer Mohammed Umar Bago’s administration in the state.
He stressed that with the global influence of oil dwindling, Nigeria must diversify its economy by embracing agriculture.
According to him, in view of this development, both President Tinubu and Farmer Mohammed Umar Bago have made agricultural development a priority, with a strong focus on mechanized farming.
“Mechanization helps the farmers in achieving higher productivity in Agriculture. If you want productivity, you need to Mechanized agriculture.” he observe
Hon. Zakari noted that mechanization boosts productivity in agriculture, enabling farmers to achieve higher yields.
If elected, he stated that his administration plans to partner with Agricultural Equipments Hiring Enterprises to provide services to farmers in Lavun, reducing manual labor and increasing food production.
The Lavun council contender noted that his goal is to achieve self-sufficiency in food production, driving economic growth and development in the Local Government Area.
He therefore appealed to the electorate in Lavun for support assuring them that his administration will bring a total turn around of economic activities in the Local Government Area.
