The Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo has suspended Hon. Damian Lawani, Chairman of the Edo State Local Government Service Commission, and Hon. Samson Osagie, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, due to allegations of financial misconduct.

The suspension, which takes effect immediately, aims to facilitate a comprehensive investigation into the serious claims against both officials.
Governor Okpebholo has instructed the establishment of an Investigative Committee to thoroughly explore the allegations and provide appropriate recommendations.
