A security analyst, Alhaji Muhammad Abdullahi, has alleged that many influential Nigerians are involved in banditry taking place in the North.

He made this revelation while speaking with newsmen in Gusau on Wednesday, the Zamfara State capital.

The security analyst said ” no individual has constitutional power over any form of government unless the government does not want to act accordingly.”

According to him, if the Military, other security agencies including the police join forces, the bandits would relocate fast from the zone” he vowed.

Speaking further, Abdullahi recalled that the former Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha once said that “if a crisis persists in a place for more than 24 hours, the government has a hand in the crisis.”

” We should not allow them to deceived us, many influential individuals in the country have hands in the banditry activities,” he lamented.

The Security Analyst maintained that Nigeria laws was usually drafted for common man not politicians who get away with every crime committed”

“I wonder why people should be talking about the law when everybody in Nigeria know very well that the law is only drafted for the common people in the country.”

“The same common people are fighting each other in the name of politics and killing themselves because of politicians, while the same politicians we are fighting for are enjoying our resources while we are dying of hunger and starvation.”

I have been lecturing my friends and neighbors that Nigeria is still a country, not yet a nation, with the kind of democracy we are practicing in this country, but they refuse to believe.”
