Niger State Farmer Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago has enjoined Muslims Ummah to use the Ramadan fasting period to pray for Allah’s divine intervention in the state and nation at large.
Farmer Bago made this appeal through the Director General Niger State Bureau of Religion Affairs and Secretary general immams forum, Umar farooq Abdullahi during Ramadan lecture organized by the Niger State Government at justice Idris legbo kutigi mosque Minna.
Umar farooq Abdullahi lauded the efforts of the Niger State Farmer Governor to the propagation of Islam and it’s contribution to good morals and God fairing society.
Speaking further, he said that the program was aimed in tandem with policies and programmes of inculcating good morals and values in the society.
The Director General thanked the presiding clerics, from all Muslim organizations for taking their time to come and preside over the first ever Ramadan Tafsir in the State, and to gain from the blessings of Qur’an and solicit for prayers for the state and the country at large.
The Coordinator on media relations to executive Governor of Niger State El- Hajj Alfa kayan Bago commend on the efforts his governor for making towards improving the lives of the people, explained that upon assumption of office, he met great challenges on ground, but with God’s intervention and sincere prayers from the people, his government was able to put things in order and execute meaningful projects that have direct bearing on the common man.
He then appealed to the Muslim Ummah to commit the state and the country into prayers, especially during this year’s Ramadan considering the enormous challenges the state and the country is facing.
Also speaking, the leader of crimple and physical challenge person under Minna emirate council, Adamu Garba Igwe and hajiya Hauwa expressed appreciation to the Governor for organizing a such program that would touch a life of many people through messages of Allah urging others to emulate the program, also thanks the organization for doing well most especially the iftar distribution to thousands of men and women daily.
