The Managing Director of Niger State Water and Sewage Corporation ( NISWASEC), Engr. Gimba D Yisa has appealed to the residents of Minna and environs to exercise patience as their acute water scarcity will soon be a thing of the past.
Speaking through the Public Relation Manager of the Corporation, Zainab Yunusa, the General Manager said that the acute water scarcity was due to the Roads renewal in Minna Metropolis which damaged the Transmission Pipeline that supply water to the Distribution line linking the various reservoir across Minna.
She further explained however, that the Farmer Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago in sympathy with the plight of the People has given an express approval for the replacement of the damaged Transmission pipeline.
Hence the management of NISWASEC are working round the clock in a speed of light to fix the problem.

Earlier, the PRO of the Corporation, Zainab Yunusa disclosed that over 80 Tankers of water has been deplored to various area in Minna to cushion the effects of Water scarcity while the work on transmission line was being intensified.

Stressing that in the next few couple of days water supply will resumed.
The management of NISWASEC therefore appealed to the people of Minna to be patient as the Niger State Farmer Governor was resolute in delivering the best Dividends of Democracy including portable water supply to the people.
