The residents of Gurara Suleja and Tafa Federal Constituency have reaffirmed their support for Hon. Haruna Abubakar Arafat Magaji’s bid for the Federal Constituency seat, ahead of the 2027 general polls.
According to Ibrahim Abubakar, Chairman of the Coalition for Good Governance, Hon. Arafat’s ability to attract projects and leverage on legislative instruments for development has earned him the people’s trust.
Abubakar who stated this during a chat with Journalist in Sabon- Wise in Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State described the Constituency as the economic hub of Niger State due to its human capital, trade access, and economic potential, which has been let down by previous leaders.
The Coalition chairman explained that Hon. Arafat’s candidacy is driven by a desire to reposition the constituency for greater growth as he sees the House of Representatives seat as strategic for progress
” Hon. Arafat is our preferred candidate because of his ability to skillfully negotiate and leverage on legislative instrument to attract projects that would foster development on the Federal Constituency”
“This is what he said was missing from the leaders who were elected to occupied the Federal Constituency seat in the last 18 years of our democratic dispensation, ” he lamented.
He believed that Hon. Arafat’s election would support Governor Mohammed Umar Bago’s efforts to unlock the constituency’s untapped economic potential.
He then warned other politicians in the ruling APC seeking re-election to reconsider their ambitions, as the constituency has already settled on Hon. Arafat as their preferred candidate.
