As part of his familiarization tour of the Niger State Emirates and to assess the operations of beer vendors, revenue generation, and compliance with the Liquor Law (Chapter 71), Mohammed Hamisu, the Executive Director of Operations for the Board, conducted a tour of Suleja, Tafa, and Gurara Local Government Areas within the Suleja Emirate on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

The official tour began with a courtesy call on the Suleja Local Government Chairman, Hon. Isyaku Bawa Na’ibi.

He welcomed this initiative, noting that enhancing revenue generation is crucial for executing meaningful projects that align with the vision of the Farmer Governor, Dr. Mohammed Umaru Bago, towards a New Niger Agenda.

The Council Secretary, Mal. Jibrin Yakubu, also expressed appreciation for the tour.

During the visit, the Executive Director operation called on Nigerlites to support the Farmer Governor’s vision, particularly given the numerous projects being implemented across various sectors, emphasizing that the New Niger we aspire to is on the way, In Sha ALLAH.

The Executive Director operation Hamisu and his team successfully recovered unpaid revenues from defaulters and shut down illegal sales points that violated government rules and regulations.

This effort aimed to regularize operations and establish protocols that would promote proper management while increasing state income.

He urged beer vendors to adhere to operational guidelines, including maintaining approved distances and ensuring that alcohol is not sold to minors.

He also emphasized the importance of responsible behavior from customers after consuming alcohol to prevent any public disturbances.

Furthermore, he strongly advised beer vendors not to pay cash revenues to anyone but instead to deposit payments directly into the Board’s designated bank account and then demand an official receipt.

The Executive Director expressed his gratitude to the Suleja Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Isyaku Bawa Na’ibi, and his team for their cooperation during the tour. In turn, the Council Chairman thanked the Executive Director operation and his team for their efforts.
