The appointment of Bashir Yakubu Harka, as the Director General of Niger State Housing Corporation has been described as key towards the development of Housing Sector in Niger State.

The Chairman of Debo Venture, Ibukun Ayokunu disclosed this during a chat with the Achievers Magazine recently in his office, Minna, Niger State.

He said the Housing Sector is very vital to the economic growth, as such Government at all levels come up with plans to boost the Sector.

It is against this background that the Executive Governor of Niger State, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago decided to appoint Bashir Yakubu Harka, as the Director General of Niger State Housing Corporation.

Harka, who was the immediate past Director General of Sustainable Development Goals, is believed to have the required Knowledge to introduce policies that would re-position Niger State Housing Corporation in Tandem with the New Niger Agenda of Gov.Umar Bago’s administration.

It would be recalled that Nigerians are presently grappling with severe Housing deficit which has persisted over the years, despite all the promises made by Government at all level since the return of democracy.

This challenges, Governor Umar Bago’s administration is set to address with the appointment of Harka as the Director General of Niger State Housing Corporation even as financial experts at different fora describe Housing as a major challenge that neither States nor the Federal Government or both can comfortably address without partnership with the private sector to gradually reduce the constraint.

Moreover, the Chairman of Debo Venture believes that the newly appointed Director General of Niger State Housing Corporation has the capacity to initiate moves that would attract the Private sector to key into the Governor Umar Bago’s administration agenda on mass Housing policy for Nigerlites and residents of Niger State.

There is no doubt that the Niger State Housing Corporation will definitely experience unprecedented transformation under the Leadership of Bashir Yakubu Harka and his team, Chairman of Debo venture declared.
