The Akoko Women Congress, also known as Akoko Community Indigene and Non-indigene Congress, a community based charity organization in Ondo State, has described the death of Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu as tragic.

During their committee meetings, held yesterday Wednesday, 27th December, upon their plan for their 29th end of the year congress, the committee sobered over the breaking news.

The Akoko Women described Akeredolu, who until his death was “the Chairman of the South West Governors Forum and Amotekun General” as a dogged fighter throughout his lifetime. According to them, Akeredolu, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) was a visionary Leader with an indelible mark on Nigeria policies.

In their meetings, the Akoko Women Coordinator, Fisayo Dorcas Oluba described the loss of Governor Akeredolu as a loss of formidable leadership, and affirms that his memory will continue to serve as beacon of hope and Inspiration for generations to come. She mentioned his audacious approach to tackle insecurities and how he stood as the voice of the masses.

The Women Organization sends their condolence message to the Ondo State Government, newly Sworn-in Governor of the State, Mr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and the bereaved Family, they also besearch them to see this as a transit to glory, and charge them to build on his remarkable legacy by creating an enabling environment for “a common man” via schemes and initiatives that impacts the lives of nonpartisan community based groups and indigenous people on Ondo state.
