The former state Chairman of the Labour Party ( LP.) in Lagos State, Pastor Dayo Ekong, and Sam Okpala have been suspended by the State Chapter of the Party over alleged gross misconduct and breach of the party’s constitution.
The Party disclosed this in a statement signed by the state’s caretaker committee of the party, Rotimi Odunaike, and the secretary, Dorcas Omorodion, on Sunday.
The caretaker committee chairman noted that all the members of the erstwhile state executive committee are suspended for 6 months for anti-party activities and for their failure to uphold the Constitution of the Party.”
The chairman while announcing the dissolution added that “All the Local Government and Ward Executive Committees in Lagos State appointed by the Pastor (Mrs) Dayo Ekong-led Exco are hereby dissolved and their members suspended for six months for anti-party activities, with immediate effect.”
