Concerned Elders for Peace, a group of senior members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North-West, has called for the expulsion of Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, House of Representatives member from Zamfara State, over alleged acts of sabotage against the party.
The Zonal Coordinator of APC North-West, Aliyu Mammani Kaura in a statement released on Wednesday in Sokoto State, accused Jaji of working against the party’s interests by fueling divisions, supporting media attacks on key APC figures and aligning with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State.
The elders forum expressed concern that Jaji’s alleged ties with the PDP-led government in the state are destabilising APC’s internal structure.
They also accused him of disrespecting top party leaders, including the Minister of State for Defense, Bello Matawalle, and former Governor Abdul’aziz Yari.
Despite repeated reconciliation efforts, the elders claim Jaji has continued to undermine party unity, allegedly using social media to spread discord and attack APC chieftains.
“If the actions of Rt. Hon. Sani Jaji go unchecked, it could further weaken the party ahead of the 2027 elections.” APC elders declared.
“His antagonistic stance toward party leaders threatens the unity, discipline, and progress of the APC in the region,” they added.
According to the elders, Jaji and his aide had previously been suspended for misconduct, yet their alleged disruptive behavior continues, suggesting disloyalty to the APC in favor of external political interest.
