The Leader of the Civilian JTF in Kawuri Unit of Borno State has been declared dead following the bomb explosion that occurred in Kawuri, a town in the Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State
An eyewitness who disclosed this on condition of anonymity said the late Godori stepped on the bomb, which was believed to have been planted by terrorists a day earlier.
“Mr Godori was believed to be following the footsteps of the terrorists until he stepped on the bomb,” the source said.
Responding, the spokesperson for the Borno State Police Command, ASP Nahum Daso, said he was yet to be briefed.
“Personally, I am yet to get any information on that. Before nightfall, I would have ascertained what happened there,” he said.
