Queen Folashade has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the inaugural Royal Grand Patron of the Akoko Women Congress (AWC).
The event, which was held at the palace of Olukare of Ikare Kingdom, Oba Alhaji Saliu Akadri Momoh IV. Olori Folashade was adorned with the prestigious title by AWC “Women’s Leader”, Chief Mrs. Bello of Oyagi, Ikaram – Akoko, in the presence of committee members and distinguished guests.
Chief Mrs. Bello lauded Olori Folashade, describing her as a modern cultural icon, a philanthropist, and a staunch advocate for women’s inclusion. She expressed gratitude for Olori Folashade’s selfless contributions and acceptance to serve Akoko women, making emphasize on the exemplary standard of excellence she has set and the inspiration that comes with it, acknowledging her positive impact on the akoko community.
As the newly appointed Royal Grand Patron, Olori Folashade was officially welcomed into the role by the AWC committee members, extending their best wishes for her, and prayed for a lasting, enriching and fulfilling journey in her capacity, with applauds, songs and dances in the gathering. The committee express their gratitude for her acceptance of this significant responsibility.
In response, the elated Olori commended the initiative and the committee for their dedication to fostering unity and development among Akoko women and the Akoko communities. She pledged her unwavering support to the association, vowing to guide them and stand with them, in achieving their set goals.
