The merger talks which held recently in the residence of one of the leaders of the groups was attended by various  leaders an indication that they have resolved to work together.
It was learnt from impeccable sources close to the meeting that the unveiling of the coalition of the support group will hold soon
According to the source, all the 8 support groups for the APC presidential candidate resolved to retain Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Katcha as the state Chairman because he has been in the business of campaigning for the former Lagos State Governor to run for president even before he decided to run and eventually pick the APC presidential ticket.
One burning issue which cropped up at the meeting was the role to be given to the Niger state deputyGovernor , Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Ketso who has  has been funding and headed the Tinubu Support Vanguard.
“Though decision was taken  to give the deputy Governor a very strategic  position but it will not be announce until he has been briefed” a source at the meeting said.
However it was resolved at the meeting that only those groups that have existed before the APC presidential primaries will be allowed into the coalition .The position was taken to ensure only those committed to the course are allowed on board and to ward of moles.
