The driver and police orderly of a respected Royal Father in River State has been kidnapped by unidentified Gunmen.
The victims were abducted on Saturday at the residence of the Monarch, His Royal Highness ( HRH) Chief Cornwell Ihunwo around Eagle Island.
The respected Monarch, ( Chief Cornwell Ihunwo) is the paramount Ruler of Rumu-Elechi Community in Nkpolu – Orowurokwo Porthacourt City Local Government Area.
The Chief Security Officer of Nkpolu Orowurokwo, Godstime Ihunwo who confirmed the Incident said it happened around 8 pm.
Speaking further, he alleged that the Traditional Ruler was the target but God save him.
” I received a call about the abduction of HRH. Cornwell Ihunwo about 9 pm on Saturday, 22 June 2024. I rushed down to his house at Eagle Island where I met him.
The traditional Ruler however disclosed to me that, it was his police officer and driver who were abducted.
However, when contacted the Police Public Relation Officer of the River State Command, Sp. Grace Iringe confirmed the Incident adding that investigation into the matter is ongoing.
