The acting chairman of Miners Association of Nigeria in Niger State, HON. Yusuf Mami has lauded the resolution of the Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umar Bago to developed the Mining Sector in the State.
Hon. Mami Yusuf disclosed this during a chat with Journalist recently in Minna.
He said that the Mining Industry especially in Niger State needs Government Intervention in order to maximize the economic benefits of the Sector.
According to him, Niger State with the highest deposit of Mineral resources in Nigeria will be experiencing Government Intervention first time with recent decision of Farmer Bago administration to develop the Mineral Industry.
Stressing that Governor Bago’s intervention will go along way to repositioned the Mining Industry which has the capacity to transformed the economy of Niger State and Nigeria at large.
” We are confident that the recent decision of Farmer Bago’s administration to develop the Mining Industry will go along way to provide the needed Security for our operation at the Mining Site as well as Financial assistance to support the operation of Artisan Miners” Hon. Yusuf concluded.
It will be recalled that the Niger State Farmer Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago during his recent visit to Brazil promised to re- Organized and develop the Mining Sector in Niger State.
Farmer Bago would held a meeting with the Stakeholders in the Mining Sector of Brazil assured that his administration will maximize the economic potentials in the Niger State Mining Industry.
