The Chairman of Mariga Local Government Area, Hon. Abbas Adamu Kasuwan Garba has commended the Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umar Bago for taken gaint steps towards transforming the State
Economy through Agricultural revolution.
The Council Chairman, Hon. Abbas Adamu Kasuwan Garba Stated this during a chat with Journalist recently in Minna.
He said that the development of Agricultural Sector by Farmer Mohammed Umar Bago Administration becomes imperative because of the Vital Role it is expected to play in the development of both Niger State and Nigeria Economy.
Although, it is on record that Niger State is blessed with abundant Dams resources and vast arable land capable of producing the Agricultural produce that can Feed the whole of Africa but the inability of the past Governments to harnessed the potentials in this sector is said to have contributed to the slow economic growth of Niger State and Nigeria at large.

Hon. Abbas Adamu emphasized that the present administration in Niger State under the Leadership of Farmer Mohammed Umar Bago will change the Narrative with the recent Commissioning of over 2000 tractors and other agricultural implements by the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The President during the inauguration of the equipment for the Mechanized Agriculture, guaranteed continued support to the Niger State Farmer Governor to achieve his desire of Feeding the Nation.
Speaking further, President TINUBU also promised to partner with the Niger State Farmer Governor, in order to banish hunger from Nigeria.
He therefore encourage him to continue with his aggressive and strong determination to be the one to Feed the whole Nation.
In his own remarks, the Niger State Farmer Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago said the state is positioned to produce 50 million metrics tons of assorted foods Crops annually and also be the largest Sub- National Food Exporter in Nigeria.
This gaint strides in the Agricultural sector, the Mariga Local Government Chairman, Hon. Abbas Adamu believes will transform the Niger State Economic and Nigeria at large.
He therefore appealed to the people of Niger State to continue to pray for the Farmer Governor as he takes the led in joining President Tinubu to diversify the ailing Nigeria Economy which has aged long depended on crude- oil.
