The Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai, has neutralise a yet-to-be-known number of Boko Haram terrorists during an air interdiction in Degbewa and Chikide, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
It was gathered that the precision airstrikes by the Nigeria Air force targeted high-profile terrorist leaders following intelligence reports of a mass gathering of insurgents in the area around 8 pm on Tuesday
The air raid hit camps under the command of Ali Ngulde, a known Boko Haram leader.
Military sources revealed that several terrorists were eliminated, while others sustained injuries during the attack.
Efforts by our correspondent to reach the spokesperson for Operation Hadin Kai, Lt. Col Jingina, for other details of the post-strike assessment proved abortive as he neither picked nor returned the calls.
Meanwhile, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Kaduna State, has appeal to the security agencies to redouble their efforts in ensuring the security of lives and property across communities in Southern Kaduna.”
In a statement issued in Kaduna on Wednesday, Katung expressed his deep worry over the renewed attacks, which have brought immense pains, and untold hardship, and shaken the well-being of the people.
Specifically, the senator mentioned the abduction of 22 locals, mostly women and children, in separate attacks in the Kauru Local Government Area, Southern Kaduna.
He said, “These atrocities against our people must not continue unchecked. And it must stop now.
