The Nigeria Football Federation on Friday appointed the Former Nigeria International, MANU GARBA as the Head Coach of the Under-17 team, Nigeria Golden Eaglets.
The Message posted on the NFF website today (Friday) read ” The newly appointed Coach is expected to immediately resumed his role and take charge of the team’s preparations for next month’s WAFU B U17 championship, taking place in Ghana”
It will be recalled that Many Garba led the Nigeria Golden Eaglets to win the FIFA U17 World Cup for Nigeria in 2013 at the United Arab Emirates, Nigeria’s Fourth triumph at that stage.
In that squad were Super Eagle Stars Kelechi Iheanacho and Taiwo Awoniyi.
Although the Nigeria Golden Eaglets finished as runners up at the 2013 African U17 Championship in Morocco but they ended that year conquering the world for the fourth tithle during the FIFA under 17 world cup
