Niger State Governor, Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago has said the Africa Sustainability Outliers (ASO) Award conferred on him will spur him and his team to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of the State.
Speaking at the African Union Headquarters, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman who received the Award on behalf of Governor Umaru Bago stated that the Award, which is an acknowledgment of Governor Bago’s landmark achievements in the State, is quite encouraging.
The Governor reassured the people of the State of his administration’s firm resolved to continue to put them first and fulfill its promises.
According to the Governor, “the Africa Sustainability Outliers (ASO) Award is driven by a profound commitment to advancing sustainability across Africa, adding that the award is more than just accolades; is instrumental in shaping a brighter and more sustainable future for Africa”.
He explained that the ASO Award which is a beacon of hope for the African Spirit, a catalyst for change, and a testament to the exceptional and tireless efforts of Africans rewriting Africa’s narrative would no doubt encourage him to bring rapid development to the State.
The ASO Awards Awardees are the embodiment of Africa’s potential for environmental resilience, social progress, and economic prosperity. Each one has left an indelible mark on the landscape of sustainability, demonstrating what can be achieved when passion, dedication, and innovation converge.
