The Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Barr. Abdulmalik Mohammed Sarkin-Daji, has commended Governor Mohammed Umar Bago for his visionary leadership and commitment to developing the state’s infrastructure. This praise came during the inaugural flight ceremony by Overland Airways from Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport in Minna.
The Speaker, leading members of the 10th Assembly, lauded Governor Bago’s ability to realize ambitious projects. Initially met with skepticism, the launch of the Minna-Lagos, Abuja-Minna, and Minna-Abuja routes showcases the Governor’s determination.
The Speaker assured that the 10th Assembly will continue to support and cooperate with the present administration to achieve more dividends of democracy in the state. This event demonstrates the Niger State House of Assembly’s commitment to supporting the Governor’s initiatives and promoting the state’s progress.
In his speech the Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago who was full of delight, attributed the milestone achievement to a collective effort and that it is historic.
He said the proclamation of the Federal Government is a fulfilment of a long time vision of Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and many other good people of the State and assured that the partnership between the Niger State government and the Commercial flight operator; Overland will be sustained especially as the Airport is now an alternative to the Abuja International Airport.
