The steps taken by Farmer Mohammed Umar Bago to ensure that Nigerlites in Dispora played a prominent roles in the social and economic development of Niger State, will go along way to advance the realization of a New Niger Agenda of his administration.
The Director General of Niger State Dispora Agency, Ambassador Danjuma Mohammed made the assertion during a chat with Journalist in Minna, recently.
The Director General observed that Nigerlites in Dispora remain a pivotal force for sustainable development, contributing expertise, remittance and Investments.
He maintained that it was in view of this opportunity that the Farmer Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago took the Bull by the horns to established Niger State Dispora Agency.
Amb. Dajuma explained that the main objective of establishing the agency was to among other things coordinate the activities of the Dispora towards sustainable development.
Speaking further, the Director General commended the Government and Leadership of Farmer Mohammed Umar Bago for effective management of Nigerlites in Dispora who were hitherto disappointed until their rescue arrived with Farmer Bago as the Executive Governor of Niger State.
Amb. Danjuma also disclosed that given the present development, the Nigerlites in Dispora were ready to support the State, pointing out that already a member of Nigerlites in Dispora has promised to organise capacity building on Mining in the State.
This he believes, will reduce unemployment and enhance social economic activities in the Mining Sector.
He however assured that Niger State Dispora Agency will continue to support the New Niger Agenda of Farmer Mohammed Umar Bago’s administration.
