The Chairman of the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB), Malam Baba Ibrahim and his team have paid an inspection visit to Bilingual Education Project (BEP) construction site at Maikunkele under Bosso Local Government Area of Niger State recently.
The Bilingual project framework agreement was signed on the 15th of March 2012 in Abuja.
The beneficiaries of this project are Niger, Borno, Gombe, Adamawa, Kaduna, Kano, Kwara, Osun and Nasarawa states respectively.
The same project presently on going at Maikunkele will be replicated in Bida, Kontagora and Rafi Local Government Areas of the State.
The Bilingual Education project (English & Arabic) which is sponsored by Islamic Development Bank(IDB), aims at providing free and quality basic Education opportunities for the Almajiris and out of school children, with access to boarding facilities, provision of text books, teaching materials and training of teachers.
At the construction site, the Manager, Project Monitoring Unit of NSUBEB, Alhaji Dalhatu Salihu Gomna alongside the Contractors conducted the Chairman and his team round the structure.
The Project Manager intimated the Chairman on the progress and challenges that hindered the steady progress of work at the site. The Chairman promised to meet the appropriate authorities for amicable resolution.
