The anti-kidnapping unit of the FCT Police Command has rescued two female victims, Mart Ojadi, 15, and Evelyn Chinaza, 12, who were kidnapped by gunmen in Guto village, Bwari, on June 30, 2024.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, made this known on Sunday in a statement to the Press
“The FCT Police Command’s anti-kidnapping unit has rescued two female victims, Mart Ojadi, 15, and Evelyn Chinaza, 12, who were kidnapped by gunmen in Guto village, Bwari, on June 30, 2024.” PPRO declared
According to the spokesman of the FCT command, ” police in collaboration with DSS officials, tracked the kidnappers to Gauraka Forest, Niger State, and engaged them in a fierce gun battle, forcing the criminals to flee with injuries.
The victims were rescued unharmed and have since been reunited with their families.
