Six people have been killed on Tuesday by Gunmen suspected to be Local Militia who launched an attack on the Gugue community in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State.
Source in the Local Government who spoke to Journalist on Wednesday said the Gunmen rode Motorcycles to attack the Community between 9pm and 10pm.
Confirming the incident on Wednesday, the Lawmaker representing the Constituency in the Benue State House Assembly, Hon Agbidye said that six people were killed in the attack.
” Those people in that particular community were against the hoodlums and they got hold of two in April and killed them.” The Lawmaker declared.
“This incident that happened on Tuesday night was just a revenge mission but the place is calm now. We were there with the police this morning.
The Chairman of the Local Government Area, Shaku Justine said that the malitia attacked the community between 9pm and 10 pm on Tuesday.
Speaking further, he said the Lawmaker representing the Constituency at the State Assembly Agbidge visited the community for an on the sport assessment .
