The Technology Incubation Centre ( TIC) Minna has the capacity to transformed the Macro – economic activities in Niger State if adequately supported by Farmer Mohammed Umar Bago’s administration.
The Centre Manager TIC Minna, Jibrin A Musa disclosed this during a chat with Journalist in Minna recently.
Musa said that the Technology Incubation Centres were established across Nigeria as an initiative to provide a nurturing environment to Technology based business ideas to prosper and become viable contributors to the economy.
He maintained that in most developing Countries such as Nigeria, SMEs account for the majority of firms that provided the large chunks of employment opportunities as well as playing a crucial role in economic growth.
In view of this he said, Technology Incubation Centre Minna initiated a 3 years programme that admitted individuals with Vision, Skills and mindset to start businesses, providing conducive environment with the aim of improving their chances of survival in the early phase of the business life span as well as establishing their later intensive growth.
Although, the Incubation Centre Minna has produced a lot of entrepreneurs that are doing well within the Local economy, the centre was challenged by lack of requisite facilities such as lack of Funds , Utility Vehicle and Technology Village to accommodate post incubated entrepreneur for effective monitoring and supervision.
He therefore urged the Niger State Farmer Governor ( Mohammed Umar Bago) to take advantage of the incubation centre to develop Entrepreneur that would contribute to the development of maro economic activities in the State by adequately funding to the centre.
