Two Soldiers who sustained serious injury when bandits attacked their Military Base in Tegina, Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State have been hospitalised.
The Incident is said to have occured in the early hours of Monday.
Meanwhile, one of the bandits leader was killed in the gun duel.
According to PUNCH, the Bandits were attempting to Cross to Mashegu and Wushishi Local Government Areas of the State to rustle cattle when they encountered the Soldiers.
The Chairman of Rafi Local Government Area, Ayuba Katako confirm the incident in a telephone chat with our correspondent.
He added that the military police and Vigilantees who are ensuring peace and security of lives and properly in the State deserved to be commended.
” It happened in my domain, two Soldiers have been taken to the IBB Specialist Hospital where they are responding to treatment”.
