No fewer than four armed robbery suspects were arrested recently by Anambra State Police Command in Nnewi area of the state.
The spokesperson of the Police Command in the state, Tochukwu Ikenga said that the suspects were arrested during a “hot chase” by the officers after a tip-off.
“In line with the above, police operatives attached to Otolo – Nnewi today, 1st May 2025 by 1.45 pm arrested four suspects and recovered one foreign made pistol, three live ammunition and a lady’s motorcycle suspected to have been stolen,” the statement reads.
“During interrogation, the suspects confessed to being members of a secret cult and a kidnapping gang. They also gave useful information which the operatives are currently working on aimed at dislodging their criminal network and arresting other gang members.
“To this end, the command has sustained security patrol in the area and is more committed to fostering a secure environment for meaningful work and businesses to thrive in the state.”
