Ukraine Government is focusing on Energy facilities it claims to be supporting Russia’s Military as they intensified there offensives into Russian territory this year,

It was reported that Ukrainian drone killed five people, including two children, in Russia’s borderline Kursk Region.
Kursk region where the attack occurred on Saturday, is situated northward, adjacent to Ukraine’s Sumy region, which is under Kyiv’s control.

However, the Acting Governor, Alexey Smirnov, of Kursk made this known in a post on Telegram, stating that a drone struck a house in the village of Gorodishche, a small village in Russia’s Kursk region, just a few meters from the border with Ukraine.

“To our great grief, five people were killed, including two small children. Another two members of the family are in a serious condition.”

He added that the attack was with a ‘copter’-style drone, a small device that can be fitted to carry grenades or other explosives and dropped over targets.

Meanwhile, both parties have been employing drones extensively in the conflict that started in February 2022, including larger self-detonating aircraft with ranges of up to hundreds of kilometers.

Ukraine has intensified its offensives into Russian territory this year, focusing on energy facilities it claims support Russia’s military, along with towns and villages near the border.

Last month, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a significant new ground offensive in Ukraine’s northeastern Kharkiv region, describing it as an operation aimed at establishing a “buffer zone” and pushing Ukrainian forces back to safeguard Russia’s border in the Belgorod region from shelling.
