The Accurate data collection of the Vehicles and Motorcycles plying the Niger State Road will go along way to assist the Security Agencies towards ending the perennial Insecurity in the State.
This was the Submission of Dr. Dalandi Bako, Executive Director, Niger State Motor Vehicle Administration Agency ( NSMVAA) during a chat with the Journalist recently in Minna,. Niger State.
The NSMVAA boss, believed that there is no Crime whether Robbery or Kidnapping that was being carried out in Niger State without using Vehicles or Motorcycles hence the need for a Compulsory Identification Mark which is popularly known as PLATE NUMBER, to all Vehicles and Motorcycles operating within the State.
Dr. Bako told Journalists that the identification Mark which is popularly known as PLATE NUMBER will enable the security Agencies while carrying out there assignment have access to accurate data of Vehicles or Motorcycles used for criminal activities within the State, adding that all Vehicles and Motorcycles with Identification Marks ( PLATE NUMBER) operating within the state are fully registered with NSMVAA.
He therefore appealed to the Niger State Governor, Rt. Hon. Umar Mohammed Bago to support the Agency in the Area of Operational Vehicles and Improved Staff strength in order to enable NSMVAA to completely stop vehicles and Motorcycles that Rove across the 25 Local Government Areas of the State without Identification Marks.
This singular step the Executive Director of Niger State Motor Vehicle Administration Agency(NSMVAA) believe will halt the activities of Bandits and Kidnappers who use Motorcycles or Vehicles to conduct their unholy activities of Kidnapping and Banditry in Niger State for the past 15years.
