The member representing Birnin Magaji/ kaura Namoda Federal Constituency, Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji has been suspended indefinitely by the All Progressives Congress, Zamfara State Chapter.
The Publicity Secretary of APC Zamfara State, Yusuf Idris disclosed this in a Press release made available to newsmen on Friday.
Idris stated that the suspension of the Lawmaker became necessary following a discovery of his anti- party activities during the 2023 general election.
Amongst other misconduct charged against Hon. Jaji was his refusal to respect invitation to the APC activities at the Ward and Local Government level, creating factions in the party to weakening it’s strength and popularity.
According Idris, the State Headquarters of APC recieved a letter from Birnin- Magaji Local Government Area of the party which emanated from the Ward level seeking observation and approval for the suspension of Rt. Hon. Jaji which compelled the party to write the National Headquarters of the APC for further actions.
” The State Executive Committe of the APC Zamfara State chapter held an emergency meeting at the State party secretariat, on the 17th May 2024, where Hon. Jaji’s suspension matter was tabled to the members.
“Moreso, the report of an already constituted state fact- finding committe on Anti- party activities of Rt. Hon Jaji in the 2023 State Governorship election was also presented to the State’s committe for deliberation.”
“The Seven man State Disciplinary Committee recommend his suspension from the party having failed to appear before them despite several invitations given to him. The State Executive Committe of APC has also received the earlier finding made by the State Disciplinary Committee and agreed with its recommendations and resolved to suspend him based on the findings”
“Given the foregoing, the Zamfara State APC Executive Committee resolved and approved the suspension of Rt.Hon.Aminu Sami Jaji from the party based on the recommendation of the State Disciplinary Committee which was earlier made, added with his recent suspension by Birnin Magaji APC ward Executive Committee and affirmed by the APC Birnin-Magaji Local Government Area”
