The decision of stakeholders from Gurara Suleja and Tafa Federal Constituency to settle for Hon. Haruna Abubakar Arafat Magaji as their candidate for the Federal Constituency seat during the 2027 general election is in line with the Zoning arrangements which allows for Fairness and Justice.
This was the submission of Barrister Shehu Aliyu during a chat with Journalist recently in Minna, Niger State capital.
Barr Shehu said Zoning as an instrument creates Unity, equal political opportunities and sense of belonging to everyone, hence the need for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to prioritize it in order to deliver Gurara Suleja and Tafa Federal Constituency to the Party during the forthcoming general election.
Speaking further, Barr. Shehu disclosed that the APC during 2023 general election lost Gurara Suleja and Tafa Federal constituency seat to the Peoples’ Democratic Party because of lack of genuine Zoning arrangements which denied Hon. Arafat from Gurara Local Government Area an opportunity to contest the election.
It will be recalled that since 1999, Gurara Local Government Area has not been opportuned to occupy the Federal Constituency seat.
This the Stakeholders want to address with the adoption of Hon. Haruna Abubakar Arafat Magaji as their candidate for the Federal Constituency seat in the forthcoming general election.
Hon. Arafat has over the time being adjudged as a leader with the capacity to advance the development of the Federal Constituency and capable of uniting the people.
It is against this background that the stakeholders are calling on the people of Gurara Suleja and Tafa Federal Constituency to accord Hon. Arafat an overwhelming support in the 2027 general election.
